Cartridge Filter Cleaning

Cartridge filters rely on cartridges to filter water, versus sand or D.E. Some of these cartridge filters use reusable cartridges that can be removed and cleaned to operate most efficiently. Other filters use disposable cartridges that need to be removed and replaced when they become too dirty to filter effectively. We will carefully dismantle your cartridge filter, thoroughly clean and inspect reusable cartridges, or dispose of and replace dirty or damaged single-use filters.

D.E. Filter Cleaning

Instead of cartridges, D.E. filters use diatomaceous earth (D.E.) to filter water. This powdery substance is used to coat a set of grids inside the filter. However, even after a complete backwash, your D.E. filter can remain dirty, preventing it from cleaning the pool water efficiently. Only dismantling and cleaning the grids will get your filter back to normal operation. This service should be performed at least once a year to keep your D.E. filter in optimal condition, and to ensure that the proper amount of D.E. remains in the filter.

Acid Wash

Nothing is worse than crystal clear pool water that reveals a dirty, dingy pool surface. Refresh your pool's surface with an acid wash to make it look brand new! Even a well-maintained pool should be drained and acid washed once every 3 to 5 years.

Chemical Service

A beautiful, clean pool is something to enjoy, not stress over. Let us handle the chemistry and hard work with weekly chemical adjustment and equipment monitoring. We’ll test your pool’s chemical levels and add chemicals as needed to prevent bacteria growth, keeping your pool safe and clean - and hassle-free.

Pool Drain & Refill

Sometimes the best option is to start from scratch. If your chemical levels are too far out of whack, it may be best to start with fresh water by draining and refilling your pool. In Arizona, where pools experience extreme temps and lots of use, plan to drain and replace your pool water at least every 3 to 5 years.

ABOUT AZ POOL FILTERS

HELLO, I'M RYAN HINSHAW I’ve been providing quality pool care for the past 5 years while learning from experienced veterans in the field. I received my Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license in 2019. Pool service provides a plethora of new challenges everyday which I feel blessed to have an opportunity to solve!

FILTER CLEANING IMPORTANCE

Cartridge and D.E. (Diatomaceous Earth) filters are an often-overlooked aspect of a pools cleaning system. Because it is a time consuming and back breaking job to clean the filters many filters go a year or more without getting a routine cleaning. This can cause the pool filters to get clogged and lessen their effectivity greatly. This results in uncontrollable water chemistry, cloudy water, and growth of algae or other infectious diseases. To prevent these negative outcomes your filters should be cleaned no less than 2 times per year.

CLOGGED FILTERS CAUSE DAMAGE

Preventive Care

When the filters are clogged the rest of your pool equipment is in danger as well. Clogged filters cause back up, which can break your pump or filter resulting in nearly a thousand dollars in repair costs that are easily avoided. Regular pool filter cleaning can prevent these costly repairs and allows for the pool systems to ensure a safe swimming area. I would love to be a part of the machine that keeps your pool in perfect working condition!

Whether you have a standard cartridge filter system or a D.E., rest assured that it is in good hands. Your swimmers and the rest of your pool equipment will thank you.
